Grammy Award winner producer and songwriter Ian Prince has chosen Blue Pro to mix and master albums for new pop projects from Amanda Blush, Holah and Kitayah.

Ian is working with Blue Pro’s John Webber for all tracks. Ian comments ”Upon my return to London after many years working in North America I was anxious to find a facility to mix and master my new projects. In Blue Pro, not only did I find a studio that provides me with a top class room to do this, but also a completely professional and highly skilled staff that makes working there a pleasure. I work with John Webber, whose ears are impeccable. Blue Pro produces great sounding masters every time!’

lan Prince Is a producer, writer, arranger, keyboard player and composer who started his career in his blrth place of London, after studying Plano, Vlolln and Percussion with composition and arranging at the Royal College of Muslc. After leaving, Ian secured his first contract as a songwriter with Songs Publishing and artist deals with London Records, and later with Virgin Records. His first successes as a writer were recorded by Earth, Wind and Fire, Gladys Knight and seven-tme Grammy winner AI Jarreau. Ian also worked with New York legend Arthur Baker during this time.

Having subsequently featured on numerous platinum and gold records Ian relocated to LA ln the late ’80s, where he immediately collaborated with Quincy Jones on his groundbreaking ‘Back On The Block’ album. lan wrote 3 songs, with keyboard and arrangement credits for a further 6 and ended up winning a Grammy Award for his involvement in the arrangement of the Jazz standard ‘Blrdland’. lan soon secured his first number one record on the US Billboard Chart with Glenn Madeiros and Bobby Brown. The single ‘She AIn’t Worth lt’ was wrItten and produced by lan and was certified Gold, remaining at number one for 2 weeks. Ian had another top 20 hlt in 1994, with MCA group Immature, who reached number 16 with ‘Constantly’, again written and produced by lan.

Ian’s successes resulted in further high profile collaborations in the US with such industry giants as The Manhattan Transfer, Nancy Wilson, Karyn White and Sheena Easton as well as in the UK producing an album for Epic recording artists Flve Star, one of the biggest R&B acts In England during the early ’90s. lan would also hook up with legendary R&B producers LA and Babyface and produced tracks for Joy Enriquez, an artist signed by Babyface to his LaFace Records imprint. In between all of this, Ian also scored music for Beverly Hills 90210.

Ian is now based in the UK once more and has recently started his own production company Hiltone Music specialising in artist development for Pop & R&B artists. http://www.hiltonemusic.com
